oh, the discovery
When Russell from Automotive Employment reached out, his goal was clear to create a website that communicates the same level of success and credibility that defines his business. Our approach was to translate that success into visual form. Their hexagonal brand mark became the inspiration for a “success graph” shape that gradually reveals itself on load, anchoring the hero section with movement and intent.
To deepen the storytelling, the hero was turned into a short looping video that captures the spirit of migration and the satisfaction of working professionals within the automotive industry; the heart of what they do.
The interactive job map became one of the site’s key features. Designed to reflect New Zealand’s geography, it allows users to explore job opportunities by region while discovering insights about each area. This dual function supports both sides of their business, connecting talent with opportunity and highlighting regional benefits for those considering migration.
To maintain visual consistency, the footer design subtly mirrors the main banner’s angular shapes and motion-inspired structure. I also proposed a candidate showcase feature, a card-style layout presenting anonymous professional profiles. This lets employers browse talent by specialty without exposing personal details, striking a balance between approachability and confidentiality. This also allows Russell's recruitment business to run efficiently.

client's hot review
A rare 10/10 recommendation. I have worked with as many as 7 different web designers over multiple years building websites. By far Samia Bukhari is the best. Samia grasps concepts quickly and then improves them. She gets what you are telling her first time. She is powerfully efficient, confident and her relationship building skills are legendary. It is evident already this will be the website of a quality that I do not believe could have been built elsewhere. Thank you Samia, we could have built a website but not one as good as what you are designing for us without you.....LEGEND!
